North Hokkaido Summer 2017 #9

Siberian Rubythroats are very common in north Hokkaido in summer...............


Most of the photos I've been posting recently are from the same grassland area near Mombetsu...........

Singing males make the best subjects.............

But sometimes the females appear too.............

But then I ignore them and go back to the males..............

They are everywhere though, this one was literally outside my tent in the morning............

And this one was on a sand dune further down the coast...............
