Some more Osprey shots from a few days ago.
The female Osprey eventually started feeding its chick..............
The other 2 chicks remained in the nest though.

I don't know what kind of fish that is.............
It was very overcast and the teleconverter was on and the pics are cropped, not ideal.
The youngster picked up some scraps before the female brought the rest of the fish back to the nest.
Still, better views than I ever had at Loch Garten.
Now comes the tough part as the young bird has to learn to fish for itself.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what percentage of them survive to adulthood? Out of those 3 chicks just 1 perhaps.
