North Hokkaido Summer 2017 #5


A male Reed Bunting from last week.....................


There were a couple of tames ones on the grassland we visited...............


I remember the first one of these I ever saw. It was alongside a canal somewhere north of Preston.




I also remember one coming to the bird table in my parents garden. Must have been almost 40 years ago now..............





Black-faced Buntings were also common in the same area.............

  2. Reed Buntings do rather sing a lot. It's not always easy to get such good shots though Stu.
