A Japanese Bush Warbler on the grasslands near Oshamanbe yesterday.............
It was a hazy misty day but there were a lot of common birds around. The BBRWs must have arrived in the last few days...............
Here's a hastily shot little video of one................
The JBW is even more nondescript (although it does have a nice song)............
Also around were Eastern Marsh Harrier, Japanese Green Pigeon, Long-tailed Rosefinch, Hobby and the usual common stuff.
Back at Yakumo there wasn't much around although I did get a very brief view of this male Garganey, I managed to get a record shot just as it disappeared.
I reckon that might be it for the migration season, I have a busy week at work coming up and after that it will all go a bit quiet for a while...........
Some smart little birds there Stuart, and beautifully photographed,a pleasure to look at.
