Another one that hadn't left
I was looking for the Ring-necked Duck again on Sunday and although I couldn't relocate it I did find a Baikal Teal.......................
There were 2 males over the New Year holiday, was this one of them?
It was a long way off: all these shots are at 700mm and fairly aggressively cropped too.
Like the aforementioned Ring-necked Duck may have been, had this been here all winter hiding away on some nearby ice-free stream or pond hidden from prying eyes?
There was also a drake Falcated Duck around, yet another interesting species from earlier in the year.
Although these are cropped the nice light was a bit of help.

This is a beautifully marked duck stuart. there are NO lions or wild animals roaming willie nillie around Africa so you are very safe.
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret, I was kind of joking for comic effect.............not very funny admittedly.
