Some miscellaneous winter birds..............

A Dunlin north of town a couple of days ago....................

Here's a selection of common winter birds on Monday.

Glaucous and Glaucous-winged Gulls................

This injured Black Scoter was in the exact same spot as another injured one last spring.............

Is there a scoter equivalent of tripadvisor recommending good places to hole up in case of injury?

Winter is obviously a hard time for birds on the sea: this Slavonian Grebe was also injured..............

This Dunlin was alone on the beach...................

There is usually a flock of them around (although last year's seemed a bit small).............where are the others?
