Not as busy on the bridge................
We were back in Yakumo on Monday...................
The big bridge that had been so productive for eagle shots was a little quieter................
Fewer eagles further away and they weren't doing much.
And hardly any BIFs even, just this individual..............
I crossed the bridge to the other side and there was a bit more action. The nearest thing we have to drift ice in south Hokkaido...............
These pics are a bit cropped as I didn't have the teleconverter on for these shots, I left it off in anticipation of some closer eagle action.
The Stellers are quicker eaters than the White-taileds, it really wolfed the salmon down...........
The Smew were still around too.

Maybe not quite as busy, but a great day nonetheless. I can't think of a birder anywhere in the world who wouldn't have loved to have shared the experience with you.
ReplyDeleteThanks David, I do get a bit spoiled by the eagles in this brief window, I think last weekend's photos will be the last this winter though.............
