The adult White-tailed Eagle that swooped down on to the salmon did so in perfect light...............
It was probably only about 20 or 25 metres away....................
It checked there were no other eagles.
Then it started feeding.............
A Carrion Crow joined it feeding on scraps. Though annoying to the eagle (and photographer) it at least provides a sense of scale.
Another adult spotted what was going down...............
The first one let out a warning call and carried on feeding.............
The second one then came down to the water but with the teleconverter on I missed all the action. too close sadly..............
The first one didn't look too happy...............
No sharing I see! Another excellent series.
ReplyDeleteYes they are either selfish or individualistic depending on your point of view...........
DeleteGorgeous series and lovely reflections!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda.........
DeleteThat sunshine made a difference Stu. And I pay a small fortune for a piece of farmed salmon fillet!
ReplyDeleteNot sure I'd want to eat it after it's been rotting in the water for a few weeks........!
