New Year 2017 in Yakumo #2

A load more shots from January 2nd on the bridge at Yakumo...............

Once a salmon gets discovered several eagles usually swoop down.............

All shots from this series of posts were taken with the 1.4X teleconverter on a 500mm lens.

As you can see the rivermouth is icefree...................

A Stellers Sea Eagle drove away a White-tailed Eagle...........

Soon a group of half a dozen or so eagles assembled. Although they weren't that close 700mm is not so good for group shots................

Yet more to follow......................
