A grey January day #2
We were on the SE side of the peninsula on a still grey rainy day, not so great for bird photos....................
We checked various ports..................and Black-necked Grebes were in several of them.
As were Brent Geese...............
And the usual winter ducks such as Red-breasted Merganser and Harlequin Duck.
Hardly any small bird about anywhere. There were lots of Common Buzzard and a Peregrine as well as several White-tailed Eagle.
Eagles are far less numerous than in Yakumo but there are a few scattered around the coast. Just 1 Stellers though and it wasn't posing well.

The grey skies make the birds in the water look extra good though - not so much shine!
ReplyDeleteIn most of the photos the reflections looked better than the actual birds..............
DeleteThose are up to standard Stu. Wouldn't know it was so grey until you said,

DeleteGreat series of waterfowl with a few eagles thrown in. Not such a bad grey day if you ask me.
