Another tired waterbird

There were some Black-throated Divers at Esashi last Friday.....................


One was resting on the beach..................

It didn't seem to be injured or sick, it sometimes went for a quick swim.............

Very sunny as you can see.............

I could get some close up shots as it was very tame.

I still haven't got decent photos of this species (or indeed any diver) in breeding plumage yet......
