Another mild Sunday in Yakumo..................
The mild winter continues, I didn't even need a jacket in Yakumo as the temperature hovered around 12..........................
The eagles didn't mind (or notice). This adult Stellers was feasting on a salmon in a tree next to the road...................
The gulls (and crows) join in...................
Most of the birds were not so active however................these scenes will (should?) look very different in a week or 2 when the backgrounds are white...............
Here are some White-tailed Eagles...................
Other stuff at Yakumo included Goshwak, Peregrine, Kingfisher, Long-billed Plover and Smew.
One bird I don't have any decent photos of is Crested Kingfisher, here's one from today (and even this is a heavy crop).
Back near town there were some Black-necked Grebes in the harbour.....................like the eagles I don't get tired of them...................
