A rainy day in the ports
It's been raining all day.................
Of course it should really be snowing except it isn't.
I'm just recovering from a cold and my wife has just started one so we jettisoned any ideas of a boxing day trip to see the eagles and instead just looked in some of the small fishing ports to the east of town. The weather was terrible..........windy, rainy and very very dark. Lots of grainy photos today.
Harlequin Ducks were in one of the harbours, sheltering from the rough seas.............
Brent Geese were in several ports too..............
And this Pacific Diver (I think that's what it is) was in the final stop of the day just as it was getting really dark.............

Hope your wife soon recovers from her ailments. The Harlequin Ducks are nothing short of spectacular. Looks like you made the most of a dreary day.
ReplyDeleteWell cold or not she's on her second (medicinal) beer........
DeleteIt does look cold and gloomy, but great to see the Harlequin Ducks.
ReplyDeleteAlways cold but lets hope not gloomy soon.........
DeleteGreat Harlequins- worth a drive in the gloom!
