Laid low
White Tailed Eagle and Long Billed Plover at Yakumo a couple of days ago.............
All that overeating and overdrinking and forcing my wife into multiple trips to Yakumo has been met with divine retribution...........I now have a high fever and horrible sore throat and had to cancel my work commitments today.
We were on the bridge in Yakumo but the eagles were too far away for any decent shots............
Occasionally some flew over, usually immatures..............
We were showing the eagles to Megumi and Tony, 2 visitors from London. I hope they didn't catch whatever ailment I have..................
Ural Owl(s) at Onuma but not much else of interest. It's cold and snowing now, maybe some interesting stuff will appear in the next couple of weeks...............

So many Eagles. Brilliant. I am nearly home now from my trip to Malawi and Zambia, just waiting at Heathrow for my flight this afternoon but thanks for leaving me all the comments when I was away.
ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret, hope you had a nice trip.............
DeleteHey!! hope you soon feel better. Did you try Hair of the dog?
ReplyDeleteActually beer is the last thing I feel like now. In 1 or 2 days i'm sure I'll feel differently............
DeleteNice shot of the plover. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wilma...........................
DeleteNot the greatest way to start the year for you, Stuart. I hope you are feeling better and able to get out and try to get closer to the eagles!
ReplyDeleteI'm on the road to recovery.............just as work kicks in. A blizzard outside now, the eagles may be unreachable next weekend even if I could persuade my wife to drive there.
DeleteThat cold weather should kill off lingering bugs. I'm looking forward to predicted snow next week, but no thanks to blizzards. Hope you're feeling better by now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil, I'm getting better at last just as the weather gets worse outside...........
DeleteGet well soon. I find mulled wine works for my winter ailments, at least after a couple I don't notice the ailments any more !
ReplyDeleteMulled wine plays absolute havoc with my digestive system the next morning, I experience it every single christmas..............
DeleteI hope one day to be a visitor to whom you are showing the eagles! Maybe next winter......
ReplyDeleteIt would be a pleasure David...........
