A break in the blizzards..............

Slavonian Grebe this afternoon................

A brief break in the snow saw us in Kamiiso for an hour or so.............

The flock of 3 species of grebe were still present, although there seemed to be fewer in number of them. Itried to get Black Necked and Slavonian together..................this was the best I could manage. the Slav is at the front.

Black Neckeds tend to stick together...............

The Slavs tended to be more solitary.................

  1. Wow, that's pretty good birding. Better than my "that's some kinda grebe" attitude. Excellent pics to back up the findings too.

    1. Hi Russell, it took me a while to ID them but now it's second nature.
