The one in the bigger hole was out 0f the wind at least, as you can see in this video of the 2 I made.
If I were a Ural Owl I would choose the wind free option for sure.............
My wife went to Onuma to show some friends from out of town the Owls but they had both vacated their holes. There was a lot of snow today yesterday though, I mean a lot.
Hello Stuart!:) Beautiful captures, and I enjoyed the vĂdeo. Sorry you are getting such bad weather.
ReplyDeleteActually I don't mind the snow, I'm stuck at home working anyway..............
DeleteThose poor Owls. I guess it's why some have more than one roosting spot. I hope your weather has settled down a bit!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they have some safer holes.............somewhere away from prying cameras too probably.
DeleteLoved the video and that weather is really wild. Poor Owls.
ReplyDeleteActually my wife went to that place and she said it had come back to the hole today.................
DeleteLooks like pretty severe conditions for the second owl in the video. But the falling snow in the first sequence is very atmospheric !
ReplyDeleteHi John, yes it was struggling to stay on its perch..............
