North Hokkaido 2018 #6

Middenforffs Warblers are common in the grasslands of north Hokkaido............


They tend to stay in the grass but sometimes stay out in the open (and they also have a short song flight on occasion too).

Their song can be heard everywhere in these kind of habitats............

This species is not found near Hakodate...................

As you can see it is a rather plain bird, like many locustella warblers.............
