A windy Sunday
A cold wind was blowing from Siberia today................
We were north of Yakumo, the light was great but there were only common birds about...............
Lots of Black Scoters in the ports..........
Glaucous Gulls were everywhere.................
And a few Dunlin too..............
Other noteworthy species included a small flock of White Fronted Goose, several Osprey, 2 or 3 Eastern Marsh Harrier, lots of common ducks, my first Siberian Stonechats, Asian House Martin and Japanese Bush Warbler of the year, Whooper Swan, Great Egret, Sparrowhawk, Buzzard etc...........
Not much in town last week, Pochard, Goosander and Hawfinch in the park but not much else. Hopefully things will speed up soon.................
