More blizzards

Just 2 grebes in the harbour at Kamiiso today, this Slavonian and another Black Necked. 2 or 3 Scaup and a couple of Pochard were the only other birds present..................

Black Scoter, Common Buzzard and White Tailed Eagle were nearby too.............

More snow this week, not much around birdwise, at least to photograph.

No Waxwings in town yet but I did see a local tick: a briefly glimpsed Solitary Snipe flying down the river. Other common stuff around town included Daurian Redstart, Goosander, Teal, Wren, Hawfinch and Dusky Thrush.

    1. I think I've already used that several times, I have over 1100 posts now and it's becoming a struggle to think of names for each one. Perhaps i should switch to just numbers...............Post #1121 etc.

  2. There are no cold weather birds around here this "winter". We've had one or two frosts just heaps of rain.
