The Peregrine continued to pose for the camera on Monday.....................
I have no idea why it was so approachable, usually a pretty shy species..............
I wouldn't like to be a pigeon with those eyes watching me.
It did move. Occasionally.
It even flew sometimes.............
And a portrait................
It perched atop this dead tree for ages..................in fact it stayed there until we left.
I guess if the Gyr had been around the Peregrine would have moved on..............
It preened a bit.................
It flapped its wings a bit too.......................
And it had a scratch..................
A bit disappointing about the lack of Gyr but the Peregrine provided ample compensation.
Wow! Stunning pictures, Stu. Looks great on that dead tree. Much better than the one I see sitting on an aluminumn window frame. Really high-end results, congrats.
ReplyDeleteThanks Russell, it was just luck. I've been to this place many many times and usually see nothing except a few gulls and crows.
