A sunny Monday in February #5
2 rare winter Butings from earlier in the week.................
The Snow Bunting was completely unconcerned about me snapping away.
An enigmatic little bird.................
I find most bunting species to be really shy however and this male Pine Bunting, which was haring the sand dune with its relative, was much more typical. I could only get crappy heavily cropped record shots like this.
So a very pleasant afternoon with some nice birds. But no Gyr..................
Other stuff around included White Tailed Eagle, Black Scoter, Red Throated Diver and Glaucous Gull.
