End of year blizzards #2
Some more shots from yesterday (last year!) in Yakumo.................
As you can see it was snowing. Again.
There were lots of eagles but in the blizzards it was a bit tricky to get clear shots. I wanted to get some feeding shots but didn't really succeed.............these were the best I could manage.
Most looked like this..................or worse.
This Stellers was very obliging..............and amazingly didn't fly off even after I got out of the car.
Not really a day for BIFs but I fired off a few.
This female Merlin was in the same tree as an adult Stellers....................eagles are easy to photograph in flight but I just couldn't focus on this speedy small bird in the white snowy skies............
It my be a week or 10 days until I get to Yakumo again, hoefully it'll be with blue clear skies next time.
