Eagles at 700 #4

The before mentioned salmon corpse provoked a bit of an eagle free for all..................

With a 700mm lens the reach as sometimes too much to fit everything in the frame..............

They seemed to be coming in from everywhere. Why did this particular salmon provoke so much aggro?

At 700mm the photos didn't need much cropping, they weren't pin sharp anyway as they were handheld and it was a bit windy.

You just gotta love eagles..............

And some group shots...........

And some BIFs to finish.............

    1. Hi David, this may make you feel better: believe it or not one birder who I saw on this day was more interested in a lone Lapwing that was flapping around than the eagles...................they are quite rare in Hokkaido!

  3. Terrific pics again Stu. With a beak like that I wouldn't like the Stellers to nip my finger.
