A rainy Thursday

I have 5 days off so of course it started raining on the first of those..............

We headed east in very dark gloomy conditions. The usual port birds were still around...............

Harlequin Ducks:

Brent Geese:

And Glaucous-winged Gulls:

The eagles have all gone. The Peregrines remain but it was way too dark for any BIF action.........

Hope the weather improves over the next 4 days................

  1. In a couple of weeks I will be off to the west coast and should be seeing these same species on this side of the Pacific.

    1. I take them a bit for granted. For UK birders they are pretty special.......
