Snow snow snow

A lot of snow fell the last few days.....................

Not much birdwise. Several White Tailed Eagle and this cold looking Red Flanked Bluetail were the pick of the birds at Onuma. It flew off before I could get a decent shot.

The Nuthatches are weathering the wintry weather..............

God I hope Liverpool don't lose against Man U tonight. The season may be over before christmas.

  3. I see what you mean about the snow. We've been promised four weeks of ice and snow next - hope they are wrong. That Bluetail could almost be a Christmas Robin. Do European Robins occur in Japan?

    1. Hi Phil, yes my parents mentioned that. Ironically they are coming here the day after tomorrow: they can get used to it in advance.

  4. good stuff again Stu, rather you than me with all that snow. As for Utd / Liverpool two poor teams might just make a game of it but unfortunately I can't see beyond Celski or Citeh ;-)

  5. The Red-flanked Bluetail is a gorgeous little bird. I am sure it will cope well with the wintry conditions.

  6. Some cute birds there in the snow and the light is just right for them. Man, I walked to work for 50 minutes in a blizzard this morning. Now my sweaty clothes are turning cold and my feet are freezing.

    1. 3-0 flattered Utd enormously. Sterling and Ballotelli couldn't have scored even if they had played another 90 minutes. And Mata was offside.
