All quiet on the western side...........
We headed west yesterday but it was pretty quiet...............
There were plenty of Ospreys at least.
The only passage waders were Grey-tailed Tattlers. A few ducks and gulls remain but spring has almost come to an end before it even got going. I did get my first Pacific Swift and Wryneck of the year. The only migrant of note was this Grey-streaked Flycatcher. A crappy record shot of a bird I've only ever seen in autumn before...........
Otherwise just common stuff: Japanese Thrush, Chestnut-eared and Common Reed Buntings, Common and Oriental Cuckoos, Siberian Stonechat, Blue Rock Thrush and Oriental Reed Warbler (below)........

Same here...we seemed to go from winter right into summer, with barely a hint of spring. Migration is just about over here in the south as birds have mostly moved through to their breeding territories in the boreal forest.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure spring used to be longer...........
