More Rock Thrushes and Auklets

A female Blue Rock Thrush out west from a few days ago............

Their chicks must have hatched judging by their behaviour.

I couldn't get any good shots of the male.

A few days earlier I had gone to the local port to check if the Rhinoceros Auklets were still around...............and indeed they were.

Not as close as the other occasion but there seemed to be more of them. Some heavy crops here..............

This group of 5 were fairly close inshore.

Larger flocks were further out.

Occasionally one popped up slightly closer...........

  1. It's impressive to see those large groups of Rhinoceros Auklets. I don't recall ever seeing more than two at a time.

  3. I didn't realise you had Blue Rock Thrush. I just see them in Menorca and Greece.
