A female Blue Rock Thrush out west from a few days ago............
I couldn't get any good shots of the male.
A few days earlier I had gone to the local port to check if the Rhinoceros Auklets were still around...............and indeed they were.
Not as close as the other occasion but there seemed to be more of them. Some heavy crops here..............
This group of 5 were fairly close inshore.
Larger flocks were further out.
Occasionally one popped up slightly closer...........
It's impressive to see those large groups of Rhinoceros Auklets. I don't recall ever seeing more than two at a time.
ReplyDeleteThere were a few groups but quite far offshore.........
DeleteThe Rhinoceros Auklets are great to see....a Blue Rock Thrush is a good "Support Act" !
ReplyDeleteThanks John.
DeleteI didn't realise you had Blue Rock Thrush. I just see them in Menorca and Greece.
