A male Grey Bunting from earlier in the week....................
This is another species usually difficult to photograph.............not only is it shy it favours dark shady habitats.
The female appeared in a spot of sunlight though.
It is a subtly marked bird..............
When the male showed up it was in much poorer light.
I wonder if anyone ever ID 'd a female as a House Sparrow?
ReplyDeleteWell House Sparrows are vagrants here............and I've never seen one skulking in the forest back in the UK.
DeleteActually there is a Sparrow species here where the female looks very much like a female House Sparrow.........
Congratulations on this series. There is always an added sense of satisfaction when the subject is not easy to photograph.
ReplyDeleteThanks David............
