A very grey June weekend.............

Some rotten weather at the weekend...............

Monday was grey, windy and rainy. The above Black Scoter and the Glaucous-winged Gull below were 2 stragglers, maybe injured birds,  who shouldn't really be here at this season.

There were plenty of interesting birds at Oshamanbe but nothing posing for photos in the gloom. Here are some Black-browed Reed Warblers...........

Other stuff at Oshamanbe included Chestnut-eared and Reed Bunting, Grays Grasshopper Warbler, Eastern Marsh Harrier, Peregrine, Osprey, Long-tailed Rosefinch, Great Egret, Common. Oriental and Little Cuckoo, Lathams Snipe plus the usual common stuff.

At our campsite we could hear Grey Nightjar, more Oriental Cuckoos, Japanese Robin, Narcissus Flycatcher and Winter Wren. Brown Thrush were hopping around on the grass near our cabin but it was too dark for any photos.

At Onuma the Great-crested Grebe was still on its eggs..............
