The first waders arrive............
The first waders have appeared on the local beaches....................
This Terek Sandpiper was at Kamiiso this morning and there were 2 Grey Tailed Tattler at Oshamanbe yesterday. Not many waders but it's a start...............
This is a shy but active and skittish species, these were all at 700mm and I still had to crop. My 7D MK2 hasn't come back from Canon yet either.............
Other stuff around included Ospreys everywhere, Eastern Marsh Harrier and Peregrine. On the river near my house last week there were Kingfisher and Night Heron.
Still humid after a 3 day respite.

All birds give me great joy, but for sheer elegance the waders have it.
ReplyDeleteHi Derek. yes wader season is one of my favourite times of the year..............
DeleteI'd give anything to find a Terek near here. Last saw them in India.
ReplyDeleteHi Phil, they are quite common this side of the Eurasian landmass. I'd get excited if I saw a Common Redshank near Hakodate..............
DeleteFabulous bird. I have seen it once but fairly distant. Your pictures capture amazing detail.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment David.............
