Osprey feeding time
An Osprey family this morning..........................
Ospreys are common summer visitors to south Hokkaido and there are many breeding territories along the coasts, rivers and lakes. This family reside atop one of the many small stacks dotted around the area.
These were taken at 700mm and cropped about 50%. I hadn't brought the 2X teleconverter because the 7D MK2 is still at Canon having its' autofocus checked. My old original 7D of course doesn't AF at f8 so I foolishly left the 2X at home.................of course on the tripod with live view it would have been workable.
Still hot, sticky and humid. No waders yet but lots of bugs.
At least England are ahead (for now) in the Ashes and Windows 10 hasn't broken my laptop.

Brilliant to see these Birdds being fed
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they ever get bored of eating fish...............
DeleteThere always seems to be a little bit (or a lot for that matter) of human crap in an Osprey nest.
ReplyDeleteI thought about cloning that piece of rope out of the photo.............but decided against it. May as well show it as it is.
