A grey rainy Monday morning

It's been pouring down for several hours as I type this.....................

But I managed a couple of hours in the morning before the rain came. It was very dark though..............

The drake Shoveler is still on the same pond as a couple of weeks ago.

It is in a very shady place, I had to use slowish shutter speeds, f4 and highish ISOs..............so lots of rejected shots. I have noticed a lot of OOF shots when I use AF expansion in AI servo mode on the 7D MK2 (that sentence is gibberish if you don't know much about cameras) especially with wide apertures................

Still quite a lot were acceptably in focus.

There were quite a few birds around in the park, shame about the lousy weather. Flocks of Brambling, Siskin and Crossbill were present, here some shots of the latter species.

Also around were Japanese White-eye, Black Faced Bunting, 5 species of Tit and 3 species of Woodpecker.

Shame about the weather, especially as yesterday's was perfect but I hardly saw anything..............I had to give up at around 9am today.
