A grey day today...................
I took the 500mm lens to photograph the Night Herons but it was just too dark. Some very grainy mushy BIFs here.............
No waders at Kamiiso anymore but the first Pintail were passing through. At Onuma there was a flock of 40 or so Japanese Grosbeak, Little Egret, Asian Stubtail and the usual common resident tits and woodpeckers but again it was way too dark for any photos........

I've been getting a few BiFs of these guys recently. They're pretty cool too if you study them. Congrats on the 1500th post. Have I missed the tenth anniversary of your blog? Must be getting close?
