A mild early winter day

It was a mild late November day in Yakumo...............

Most of the wintering eagles seem to have arrived...............here are 4 adult Stellers Sea Eagles.

Stellers seem be outnumbering White-tailed Eagles this year. Here are 2 of the latter.............

It was very dark, the light was really nasty most of the day...................

Most of these shots of eagles in the river were out of the car window, this is easy to do before the snow comes (the snowplows pile up snow on the sides of the road, often making it too narrow to pull over to the side).

Here's one in a tree.............

And some BIFs from later in the afternoon when the sun made a brief appearance..............

  3. Hello Stuart!:) I'm so glad you were able to get these superb shots before the snow arrives. It's a pleasure to see so many of these magnificent raptors, and the White-tailed Eagle shot in the tree is fantastic.:)
