Stellers Sea Eagles at Rausu a couple of days ago. Processed on my tablet. The highlights may be a little overblown.
Looks like a good trip, with plenty to see and good weather too!
Yes........sunny every day.........
First photo is amazing. Those talons are impressive, intimidating even.
Yes they could take your eye out......
How fabulous to be as close as this to these magnificent birds.
It was every bit as good as I'd hoped
Gorgeous up lighting from the snow and ice. I've seen a few Stellers shots from you over the years but #1 has got to be up there.
Thanks Stuart. I may change my banner when I get back.....
Mr Dave and I went through your home town yesterday! We saw some nice birdies in south Lancs :)
Bet there weren't any eagles though!
No eagles, but some egrets! :)
I can remember when egrets of any species were a major find in the NW....................
I still find them exotic, but they sure are common now. I think you still get more of them where you are now though :)
Great shots of an amazing eagle!
Thanks Dominic................
Beautiful pictures, Stu. You're not making it an easy week at work.
Hi Russell, well I just got back and it's back to the grindstone next week.................
Beautiful Steller! The reply about Buffle of my blog. Probably, it is ordinary Bufflehead @ Rausu that Stu saw last week. My blog's Buffule is a hybrid with Common Goldeneye!! super-rare!!
Ah I see!
