Some waterbirds first................the top one is a White-billed Diver, a bit of a rarity in Japan.
And some ducks..................most of them out of the water.........
Shorebirds are a bit thin on the ground in winter............
Ospreys arrive just as the eagles are leaving...............
And some land birds...............
You must be very happy with this series of images. Black Woodpecker continues to be a bit of a nemesis for me. I did see it in Slovenia but only as a flyover.

ReplyDeleteA number of stunners there Stu. The divers and the Smew are outstanding to me, probably because I never see either and can only dream of getting pictures like those.
