North Hokkaido trip 2014 #5
The last afternoon at the campsite was a little overcast and I tried one last time with the Siberian Rubythroat......................
The colours look better in overcast weather.................
It didn't hang around for long this time, it was busy getting food for its chicks I guess. No singing, no video this time............
Forgive the deluge of Rubythroat pics, this is the last batch. I don't know when I will be able to get so close to such a tame one again.

I forgive you, you can always "deluge" me with Rubythroats.
ReplyDeleteThe softer light and darker background images look best, I think.
Hi John, yes sometimes too much sunshine is not a good thing............
DeleteExcellent pics, Stu. The light is perfect. Australian bright overhead light is the worst.
ReplyDeleteHi Russell...............but I'd imagine the mornings/early evenings must have nearly perfect light...........
DeleteQuite a handsome bird! I like the photos in both light. The softer light makes for a prettier photo, but the stark light really brings out the detail.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, thanks for the comment. Yes the soft light is better.................
