A rainy Sunday
I have a heavy cold and yesterday was raining all day........................but I mamanged to see a few common waders..................
It was the tail end of a big typhoon that had brought lots of flooding further south.
Mainly Red Necked Stints in various locales..............I'm trying to get some nice pics of them on the trot.
Sanderling, Eastern Curlew, Whimbrel. Bar Tailed Godwit, Common Sandpiper were also around as was this lone Mongolian Plover at Oshamanbe.
Of course the weather is fine today but I feel so wretched I'll probably just go for a lie down again.

DeleteHello Stuart!:) Sorry to hear you don't feel well, hope you soon recover from your cold. It's been raining here also and today heavy rainfall and high winds are exspected. No chance to get outside in this kind of weather. Lovely shots of the sea birds, with nice reflections.:)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteFine "trotting" stints on attractive surfaces....get well soon.
ReplyDeleteThe beaches are so small it is generally not hard to get these shots
DeleteHi Stuart: You haven't posted for a few days. Hope it is not because of sickness. The rocky substrate makes for an interesting picture.
ReplyDeletei was pretty rough a few days ago and then lousy weather/no birds for a few days after that...................
DeleteHello Stuart beautiful blog and great pictures and birds. I wanted to ask - how regularly do you use extenders for photographing birds? I am adding your blog link if you do not mind. My blog where you can see your linked blog is http://cheemablog.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for adding the link, I'll return the favour. I use teleconverters sometimes but I find that AF accuracy suffers a bit especially handholding a big lens like the 500.
