First autumnal signs............


Some Black-crowned Night Herons near my apartment this afternoon............


There are several hiding in the vegetation next to the river. The same vegetation is beginning to thin with the changing seasons..........


These are immatures: the only adult  could see was well hidden.






Other stuff around included 1 Grey Heron, several Asian Brown Flycatcher passing through and some flocks of Red-cheeked Starlings gathering before they head south.

  1. BCNH is a common bird here in HK too - but they are very watchable.

    1. I only ever saw one growing up in the UK so they're still a bit exotic for me I guess.
