Some shots from last winter.....................


The Eagle season was not so great at Yakumo. Firstly the salmon run was poor and secondly snowy icy roads made it difficult to drive up there. I only managed 2 or 3 visits in January/ February and like I say it wasn't a vintage year.............

These are all at Yakumo:

And these were all taken near Hakodate where the roads were less treacherous..........

The first 3 are Stellers Sea Eagles and the next 3 are White-tailed Eagles..............

There was even a 3rd eagle species here: the Mountain Hawk Eagle...............

I hope 2018/19 is better....................
