Still there, still cute...........

The Red Fox family was still around last Sunday.............

And still looking cute............

A quiet day birdwise but I did see 2 interesting things: an Intermediate Egret at Yakumo and a Tern (probably Whiskered Tern) very briefly seen in the distance at Yakumo. Otherwise just the usual stuff............like Swallows and Stonechats.

This Mute Swan at Yakumo was a surprise. There aren't many in Hokkaido, perhaps this is a genuine 'wild' one from mainland Asia?

Also around were Great Egret, Eastern Marsh Harrier, Osprey, Japanese Green Pigeon, 3 species of Cuckoo, Long-tailed Rosefinch and the usual singing Buntings and Warblers on the grasslands.
