Some Monday Narcs

Some Narcissus Flycatchers from Onuma this morning............

One of the more striking summer visitors................

They are very common at Onuma at this time of year..........

An interesting enough day for birds but apart from the Narcs nothing else posed for the camera.

At Onuma there were Eastern Crowned Warbler, Grey-headed Woodpecker, Mandarin Duck, Russet Sparrow and the usual common stuff. At Yakumo there were Japanese Thrush, Common Sandpiper, Little-ringed Plover, Wood Sandpiper, Kentish Plover, Great Egret, Osprey and Common Cuckoo. At Oshamanbe there were Eastern Marsh Harrier, 3 Whimbrel, I Eastern Curlew, 2 Mongolian Plover, 1 Turnstone, 20 or so Grey-tailed Tattler, 7 species of gull, lots of Scaup offshore..............

  1. Beautiful bird. If I looked that good I could become Narcissus too!

  2. Nice lighting to capture it in too. I like the name as well. Better than 'Golden' or 'yellow' somethingarather.
