End of the holidays

Just as my cold disappears, the weather improves and my toothache is a distant memory..............the holidays end.

We had time to head up to Oshamanbe and Yakumo at least.

There were a few waders around at least. Grey-tailed Tattlers were everywhere and at Yakumo there were 3 Kentish Plover, 2 Wood sandpiper and 2 Bar-tailed Godwit.............

2 Ruddy Turnstone were at Kamiiso first thing.........

Aside form that it was a pretty quiet day. 10 White-fronted Geese were at Yakumo as well as several Great Egret and my first Oriental Cuckoo of the year. Lots of gulls at Oshamanbe including a few Glaucous and plenty of summer plumaged Black-headed Gulls and offshore lots of ducks including Black and White-winged Scoters. At Onuma there were Brown and Japanese Thrushes and my first Narcissus Flycatchers of 2018.

Back to work tomorrow and not many birding opps for several days..............hope I don't miss much.
