Some White-tailed Eagles at Rausu 4 years ago today. Was that really 4 years ago? Time flies............
Stellers Sea Eagles seem to be much more popular amongst visiting birders (understandably) but sometimes I prefer their browner plainer congeners. Exposure is easier especially against ice on a bright sunny day like we had that day.
Of course I see this species easily enough near Hakodate but I can't get close up shots like these from the boat at Rausu.
"Time flies..." yes, I keep thinking something was 5 or 6 years ago and discover it was really a decade ago !
