Another Sunday out east..............

On a bitterly cold Sunday we headed east of town again.................

Not so many noteworthy birds but there were still a handful of Black-legged Kittiwakes about.............

And plenty of Glaucous-winged Gulls..............

And the lone Stellers Sea Eagle in its regular spot on the coast................

Only common stuff around: Harlequin Duck, Brent Goose, Whooper Swan, Great Egret, Goldeneye, Red-breasted Merganser, Peregrine, Sparrowhawk, a couple of White-tailed Eagle, and a small flocck of Waxwings seen from the car window in town...........

  1. It really has been a Kittiwake winter for you, Stuart.

    1. It's been a surprise to see so many although they are in a place I usually pay scant attention to in midwinter............

  2. Your "Common Stuff" looks pretty mouth-watering to me...but I realise the grass is greener elsewhere, too.
