Some Monday eagles.............

The eagles were all present and correct at Yakumo this morning.....................

It was a cold icy Monday but at least it looks like most of the eagles have arrived. 50 or 60 maybe?

Mainly BIFs today...............

There seemed to be more Stellers than White-taileds.............

Here's one of the latter..................

Salmon numbers appear to be rather low this year. The eagles were all upstream, there are plenty of salmon for now but they will soon scoff all of them and then they'll either go very hungry or disperse early....................

  1. I can imagine that 50 eagles would have a feast and soon finish off the salmon. Must be very spectacular even if so cold.
