Before the storm


A big typhoon is due to hit tonight................


It'll probably have fizzled out a bit by the time it reaches Hokkaido but this isn't always the case.

Very windy today: not so good for birding. This Great-crested Grebe was in Sawara.............




And these Japanese Green Pigeons were just down the coast............



Not much else about, maybe there some interesting post-typhoon stuff awaits next week.

  1. Those pigeons are truly spectacular. I hope the typhoon passes you by. You have enough to deal with, keeping tabs on that whack job in North Korea and his missiles, without having another reason to set your sirens off.
