Some more shorebirds..........


Very overcast again, not good for photos. There were a few more shorebirds about at least..............


We were north of town today. One beach held 3 Mongolian Plovers. They were shy and difficult to approach. As you can see one was still in most of its summer plumage.




They flew off before I could get close..............



Also around were a couple of Whimbrel, a lone Eastern Curlew and Terek Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper and several small flocks of Grey-tailed Tattler and Red-necked Stint.
