Summertime lull

It's the summertime lull................

Not much happening now, the second week of July usually signals a slowing down birdingwise and this has happened as expected.

Plus it's it really hot.............and at night too. So I don't sleep well...............

Chestnut-eared Buntings always seem to be the last ones to breed..........................

These pics are from last weekend.

Pacific Swifts were everywhere last weekend too..................

Not much else around...........

  1. Your flight shots of the swifts are quite remarkable. It must be about as difficult as it gets to zero in and focus on these rapid, highly maneuverable flyers.

  2. 2nd last swift pic is a corker Stu. Far far better than any of my measly attempts this season.
47C in southern Spain today - doesn't get much sillier than that! Pleasant 20 with a cool breeze on the Fylde coast today

    Cheers
