North Hokkaido Summer 2017 #15

The last few photos from my trip at the end of last month...............

We spent one last hour at the grassland before we headed back south.................

The Rubythroats were still singing.

As were the Reed Buntings...............

My last few Rubythroat pics were of this male............

Other birds seen on this trip included Osprey, Hobby, Japanese Green Pigeon and the usual common Hokkaido farmland birds..........

I probably won't see any more Rubythroats for another 12 months then.

It's been a hectic first seven months of 2017 and I've taken a load more photos than in previous years and have been updating this blog about 6 days a week. Crazy. I don't have a reason for this, sometimes a hobby can take over your life a bit leading to you neglecting other stuff and maybe I need to step back for a while.

The birding has dried up a bit anyway and probably so probably the posting will too...........

  2. I think we'd all go crazy with Rubythroats and Reed Buntings to fill our cards with shots...

Hot as Hell down here and I've been having a motivation crisis !
